Customizing Your Projects

We make it easy for you to customize exactly what you need, with a variety of product choices to meet your project and budget needs. Combine products together in the way that you need them. You choose:

• Disc type: CDs or DVDs (or you can do insert-only projects)
• Disc surface: Silver or White Discs
• Disc printing: Full color or black-only printing
• Content: Discs with or without content (data, audio or video)
• Packaging: Variety of packaging options ranging from jewel cases to DVD cases to bulk discs on spindles
• Inserts: A selection of the most common DVD and CD inserts

Getting Started

It’s easy to create and order projects.

• Set up your account
• Assemble and save your project through our project creator. Project creation includes
  1. selecting your disc type (CD or DVD)
  2. choosing the disc surface printing type (full color or black only)
  3. picking and designing any inserts
  4. selecting your packaging (cases, paper sleeves, etc.)
• Upload or Mail us your content. Please see the Content section of the Help Center to learn more about content types and upload procedures
• Upload your artwork to create your disc and insert designs. See the Artwork & Printing section of the Help Center to learn more about artwork requirements, templates and uploading.
• Once you have completed your project, you can proceed directly to the Shopping Cart, where you’ll select your quantity and timing needs and then proceed to checkout

Order Fulfillment & Shipping

During checkout, you'll select your desired production speed, order quantity, shipping method, provide your shipping address, billing information and billing address.

Production begins when we have received all of your project materials, including content and artwork. Using our upload tool helps to get content to us as fast as possible (we do require DVD masters to be mailed in). If there are problems with your project materials, your order may be put on hold until the issue is resolved.

You will receive an email confirmation of your order, and another email notice when your order is shipped.

You can check the status of your order at any time by clicking on the ORDER HISTORY tab in your account and then click the link for your order.

Occasionally, we notice a problem that prevents an order from going through our production process successfully. If that happens, we will email you to let you know and tell you what you need to do to resolve the problem.

Overview

Our duplication service provides "short-runs" - typically from 1 to 1000 copies - of professional quality printed discs in 1-5 days.

Duplication produces CD-R or DVD-R discs that can be encoded using laser-based burners. A duplication order can be done in as little as one or two days depending on quantity and composition. Our site offers easy to use tools for creating and submitting projects for Duplication.

An alternative process is DVD or CD replication which is commonly used for larger runs. Replication stamps out the CD or DVD using physical molds (called glass masters). Replication typically has a 300 unit minimum and requires set-up of glass masters. This process requires more time than duplication but has advantages if the quantities are large. Most manufacturers require 2-3 weeks for a replication order.

Our replication service allows production in as few as 8 business days.

Appearance

Our Duplication technology typically employs an on-disc thermal print process (although some orders may use silkscreen or equivalent methods for larger orders). Using a patented 3-color CMY thermal printing technology, we print high-resolution images directly onto the disc surface. All of our technologies produce high quality, high resolution images. These are not stickers - this is direct-on-disc printing. The printing has a durable, waterproof finish, is scratch resistant, and won't smudge. Thermal printing is integrated with CD and DVD burning systems that automate production and allow rapid order turnaround.

Replication orders will typically use silk screen or offset printing processes. This allows spot colors or full color discs. The appearance tends to be less glossy than with the duplication technology.

Both methods produce attractive, high quality products, but different surface printing technology and media types will result in a different appearance between a duplicated product and a replicated one.

Media

We use high quality media and professional-grade production equipment for every order.

In terms of the content on the disc itself, there is no difference between a CD-R and a glass master pressed CD in terms of sound quality or data integrity - they both contain exactly the same digital information - bits are bits! Our CD-R and DVD-R duplicated discs are compatible with all computer-based drives and most standalone players. For standalone players (CD or DVD), CD-R generally have compatibility rates in excess of 99% while DVD-R have 90+% compatibility.

Insert Printing

Our inserts are printed using very high quality four color digital or offset printers. All inserts allow full four color printing. See our Products Page for available insert products and descriptions.

You can use our online design tools to prepare your artwork - simply upload your art in jpg or bmp format; the tools will allow you to complete the design process. For your convenience, an alternative is available using predefined Photoshop Templates, available via the download link at the top of the page.
